Levis

I just read a press release from Levis. They are releasing Levi’s Redwire DLX, in Canada. These jeans have a side pocket, with a cradle for your IPod, complete with retractable headphones and a longish cable, as part of the built-in cradle, that will allow you to look at the display on your Ipod, without disconnecting it. The pocket is designed so that you don’t have the traditional “Ipod Bulge,” and the control is built into the watch pocket (aka condom pocket).
According to Levi, these jeans are washable, providing, of course, that you remove the Ipod.
The price I saw will be $88, now wether that’s Canadian or US, the article didn’t say.
I’ve seen hoods and other clothing, with Ipod controls built in.
Apple may have kept their prices high, but they have got to have the best marketing department I’ve ever seen.
People are referring to the I-River player as an ipod, just like people will order coke in a restuarant, and settle for some brown, cola like substance. This is branding raised to an art.
